I transfered my first post. Volksie is next.
A thing that I noticed is that formating isn't preserved when you copy the text here, so I had to find and apply all the italics manually. That will slow me down in the future. I tend to use a lot of italics.

He said the greeks were "intelectuals". I had fun pointing out every spelling error in his post Razz

I'm hardly in the Two Swords anymore, in fact, I'd even go as far as to say the Two Swords is dead.

Cydonia should be with a "K". Cydonia is a latinization and therefore incorrect.

Re: The Greek Wars Message Thread

Post by Kasey on 2008-03-03, 14:09

only if you are talking about the Cretan city of "Kydonia" My name is derived from a song entitled "Knights of Cydonia" and the "Cydonia" in that song is from the "Face of Cydonia" on Mars, which is spelt with the latinisation.

Therefore my name is correct as it is ultimately derived from a place on Mars called "Cydonia" which has nothing to do with the historical city of "Kydonia"

Actually, the place on Mars was named after the place in Greece. A Greek astronomer named all the regions of Mars in the early 20th century, and all the major features have Greek names.

I know. But the Muse song was named after the latinised city, therefore spelling it "Cydonia" in my case is correct.
