My AAR discussion thread

Post by Parallel Pain on 2008-03-12, 10:33

The one I'm writing for Sab'yn

I've posted at EB forum and at YUKU.

Should I post it here as well?

I've been reading it at Yuku, although I haven't caught up with your posts there yet. If you'd like to post it here as well, by all means do so! It's great!

Since I can't post it here, I'll use this thread for discussion.

The first thing is: I'M A RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS ><

Ok problem here is I have a sort of story thing I can use for Homna, so that's sort of fine.

The problem now is that when I move into Africa. What kind of story can I write? It's just battle and battle. And there isn't really any story to write except I conquered this and I conquered that.

If the AI would just be smarter I could probably make something out of it. But now the stupid AI is limiting my story ><

Oh and how's my new "The Killer Angels" style for Chapter 7? It'll be hard to keep writing in that style though.

Make yourself lose a major battle.

Well yeah that's a good story

But in the game if I loose a major battle I'll probabably get swamped by the Ptolemy.

Plus it's actually hard to loose a major battle.

Well you could always take creative license and say you lost the battle in your writing. Then you could continue to write some heroic story in which the victorious enemy army is destroyed (thus making you able to continue playing the campaign without upsetting the story).
